In traditional ABat style we started off with a bang, and showed Triple X what we’re all about. Dave achieved our first home run (in-field) of the season, and Mike, Colin and Jamie all had triples – incredible (especially against the defense of Triple X!). We followed that up with our other occasional ABat style which involves falling apart in the second half :) Great effort by everyone, just didn’t come together. Jen and I were asked by the Connectors to play their game at 5:30. Here’s what I learned that may be helpful for us moving forward:

  • We’ve got the skills, but our ‘head game’ is a bit off. The Connectors are an amazingly positive team and it results in a whole lot less frustration and a whole lot more enthusiastic effort overall.
  • The point of this whole thing is to have a great game. Whether a win or loss (we’re obviously playing to win), if we’re all putting in our best effort that’s what matters most and keeps everyone happy.
  • Team Active can be beat, if not on skills, on attitude and enthusiasm alone.

Triple X was awesome to play against, look out Team Active here we come!
