In traditional ABat style we started off with a bang, and showed Triple X what we’re all about. Dave achieved our first home run (in-field) of the season, and Mike, Colin and Jamie all had triples – incredible (especially against the defense of Triple X!). We followed that up with our other occasional ABat style which involves falling apart in the second half
Great effort by everyone, just didn’t come together. Jen and I were asked by the Connectors to play their game at 5:30. Here’s what I learned that may be helpful for us moving forward:
- We’ve got the skills, but our ‘head game’ is a bit off. The Connectors are an amazingly positive team and it results in a whole lot less frustration and a whole lot more enthusiastic effort overall.
- The point of this whole thing is to have a great game. Whether a win or loss (we’re obviously playing to win), if we’re all putting in our best effort that’s what matters most and keeps everyone happy.
- Team Active can be beat, if not on skills, on attitude and enthusiasm alone.
Triple X was awesome to play against, look out Team Active here we come!
