Our second game felt more like the season opener, with the entire team out for game against Triple X. This was the first game for Corina, Matt, Katie, Ollie and Mike, who all did a good job of getting into the #ABat vibe. Strong skills on show from Ollie, Patrick and Brent with some awesome pop-fly catches in the field. And some crazy good hits from Dave, Jesse and James. Leah took a tumble in the field and a ball off the body, so earns the #ABat trooper badge for the day.
Overall a great day at the diamond, and a solid game against Team #2 in the league. They were a bit more intense than they have been in the past (but we are also much improved over last year, so it felt a bit more serious). Playing with 15 at one game is a challenge to keep everything organized, and I don’t anticipate we’ll have any more games where absolutely everyone will be in attendance! If we end up with another 15-player game I’ll be more organized on the fielding so it isn’t as confusing/haphazard.
Great job, tough competitors and improving skills from the team! Sorry I missed the after-game food/drinks, hope the patio was fun.

Tough Game Against Triple X, But Still Smiling!
Dr. Matt’s batting average is showing as 000 (instead of 1.000) because he was such a consistent player today that he broke the stats plug-in and it’s not correctly showing a perfect BA.
